For Student-Athletes

Giving You a Head-Start in Your Professional Working Career

If there’s anything to learn from being an athlete, it’s that you have to adapt and overcome all obstacles in front of you if you’re ever going to achieve success. And if not making it as a professional athlete is the next hurdle you need to jump over, we at Sport & Career can help. Before you get into finding opportunities and interviewing, you need to put yourself in the best possible position to even get to that point.

Placing you behind a desk, working a corporate 9-5 is not the main approach we take. Not unless that’s where you know you’ll be happy, fulfilled, and can make the income you ultimately deserve.

Instead, our career services for student-athletes take your occupational happiness, wants, and needs into account. Not only is our mission to help you find a job after graduation, but we are also devoted to finding you a position that suits your skills and passions.

Your Job Placement Process

Preparing You to Reach Your Occupational Full Potential

Our program is designed to help you navigate the job search process with more ease, and, hopefully, find a placement by the end of it. Our job placement program is suitable for all undergraduate student-athletes, as well as former graduates of under 5-7 years.

What You Can Expect:

Step 1. Individual Assessment

Unlike the assessments you’re likely used to, we won’t be asking you to run laps, hold your breath, or bench-press our receptionist. This assessment process is designed to understand your professional skill sets, the occupations you’d prefer to be placed in, as well as where you see your professional career taking you.

Step 2. Assigning You a Personal Manager

Once we’ve established the type of job that would suit you best, we’ll assign you a compatible manager to help prepare you for the process ahead. Your manager will work closely with you, helping you understand your options while formulating a step-by-step process to find you a placement.

Step 3. Start Searching

By this point, you’ll have a comprehensive CV, an understanding of the job market, and the best practices you can apply in your job search endeavors. Your manager will also help boost those confidence levels if necessary to make sure the positions you apply for will snatch you up in a second.

With our help, by the time you find a job after graduation, you’ll have an incredible arsenal of resources and information to build a successful career. And, if at any point you require additional guidance and support after the program, all you need to do is drop us a line.
